About the Project

What happened

During the winter of 2025/26, the scouts of Torres Novas collected, processed into seed balls and dispersed over 1.1 million acorn seeds on the top of Serra d'Aire.

Why it matters

We've proven that large-scale reseeding of native forest can be done in a very cost-effective and community-engaging way.
